This is my 3rd original song. It’s called Tell Me A Lie. This recording is not the greatest version of this song because my rhythm is terrible and you actually have to look at me while I attempt to sing. But I wanted to make sure I got it out there for everyone to listen to since I think this shows some quality progress with my lyrical ability. I may record this again and if I do I’ll update this post with the latest version. So if you click through, enjoy the song…

Hey Matt… stumbled across your blog from the songwriting tag. Gotta tell ya man… I really like your song. Nice hook. I’m not gonna lie to you and tell your singing is great. I mean it was a little rough at the beginning but over all you did a really good job.
Lookin forward to hearing more stuff.

I love the chorus, I love how it goes up. I love the naked emotion of the song. I like how the bridge builds. Cool open chords on the verses. I think you can tweak the verse lyrics a little. You’ve got a good song here.
