Of course, I don't think you would want to read "The Other Queen," but you never know! (No it's not about a drag queen or anything even CLOSE to that.) The Kite Runner might be the most heart-breaking novel I have ever read (and I was an English major!). It's also fascinating as it delves into the immigrant experience and the narrator's life in Afghanistan as the Taliban comes into power. SO good.
